Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
muxo ("we", "us") operates the website at muxo.net. We keep data collection to a minimum and don't sell your personal information. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Usage data — standard server and CDN logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed), used to run the site securely and understand what's useful in aggregate.
- Search terms — what you type into muxo's search, used to return results and improve the catalogue. We don't tie these to your identity.
- No accounts — muxo doesn't require you to register, and we don't ask for names, addresses, or payment details.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the site work. When you click through to a retailer, affiliate networks or the retailer may set a cookie so any resulting purchase is correctly attributed to muxo. These are how affiliate commissions are tracked; they don't cost you anything and don't collect payment details on our behalf. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time.
Third parties
We rely on a small number of service providers, including our hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare) and affiliate networks such as Commission Factory and impact.com. When you leave muxo for a retailer's site, that retailer's own privacy policy applies to what happens there.
Overseas disclosure
Some of these providers (for example Cloudflare and impact.com) are based in, or store data in, countries outside Australia — primarily the United States. By using muxo you consent to your information being handled by these providers overseas in the limited ways described above.
Access, correction & complaints
We handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. You can control cookies through your browser, and you may ask what information (if any) we hold about you, request that it be corrected, or request its deletion, by emailing[email protected]. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled a privacy matter, you can contact us and, if still unresolved, refer it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy as muxo grows; material changes will be reflected here with a new date. Questions? Email[email protected]or use our contact page.
