A stunning Victorian sapphire and diamond cluster ring, showcasing a striking navette-shaped gallery. At its centre sits a natural, deep-blue cushion-cut sapphire, encircled by fourteen beautifully proportioned old mine-cut diamonds. The sapphire weighs approximately 0.90 carats and displays a vivid cornflower-blue hue, consistent with a Sri Lankan origin. The surrounding diamonds exhibit excellent SI1 clarity, with a combined estimated weight of around 1 carat. The ring bears indistinct hallmarks and has been tested as 15ct gold. It dates from circa 1880 to 1900 and remains in excellent condition, with wear appropriate for its age. Ring size: approximately N½. Comparable pieces are currently offered between £3,500 and £5,000.
